The holidays are a time for family, fellowship, and reflection. That’s especially true for the Simmons Catfish family in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Over the years, Simmons has been blessed to have many dedicated and professional employees call Simmons Catfish home. Many on our team have been with us for decades, and we appreciate every one of our employees. It’s no exaggeration to say we’re a true family at Simmons Catfish. We know our team’s commitment to service shows through in the quality of our products.
Every holiday season, the Simmons Catfish family comes together to celebrate and honor our terrific group of employees and friends. This year, we gathered at the National Guard Armory for our annual night of celebration and thanks. Attendees enjoyed an evening of great fellowship over a delicious fried catfish dinner.
Founder Harry Simmons spoke about highlights from this past year and presented awards to several members of our team. Bill Meeks was honored as a 35 year employee. Teresa Millbrooks and Eddrick Hogan celebrated their 20th and 15th years as members of the Simmons Catfish family. Other honors included the Super Cat award for the year’s exceptional employee who receives an award of $500 donated by the Brown Bottling Group. Our top trimmer, filleter and skinner were also honored. The evening’s door prizes culminated in the drawing for a new TV donated by Jackson Paper Company. At Simmons, every member of our production team fulfills an invaluable role, and our annual gala gives us an opportunity to show our gratitude.
With Christmas only a few days away, we wish the very best of holidays to our family and to yours. We hope this holiday season finds your friends and loved ones home, happy and healthy… and well-fed on a delicious catfish dinner as well!
